I had no idea cassettes were still being made until this past RSD, which saw a cassette release of Skrillex's latest album.

I haven't purchased very many albums recently, but the most recent one was back in August

The Muffs: Whoop de doo

Mostly, I listen to music on Sony's Music Unlimited, so I could talk about the most recent CDs that I've put in my digital playlists there.

The most notable recent one is American Hi-Fi: Blood & Lemonade.

Yeah, I was surprised too.

Of course, I didn't really like them when they first came out. I just spent some time listening to their back catalog, and discovered that their 2 most recent CDs sound pretty good to me. Their first 3 are fairly uneven.

I was all about that self titled first album, but didn't care for most of the second and stopped listening.

A couple LPs I recently purchased:

The Offspring- Smash (20th Anniversary edition)
Black Star- Mos Def and Talib Kweli are Black Star (two tone "black star" vinyl)
The Killers- Hot Fuss

I'm super hyped about the Black Star reissue, and it looks pretty nice. I didn't do my due diligence on Hot Fuss and it turned out to be a really, really bad bootleg. I expected it to be a bootleg (which I occasionally don't have a problem with), but this one is pretty rough.
